The Milk Petition

One morning, I was walking by the lunchroom and I noticed some students having breakfast. They didn't seem to be enjoying their milk. One of the students had asked for no milk, one student was barely drinking it and the last student at the table didn't have his milk opened. I was curious because I noticed they only had the choice of white milk. When I was in school, I remember that if they didn't have chocolate milk, I would just drink water from the fountain. My point is that I don't like white milk. Anyways, I asked the students about the white milk and the oldest in the group (1st grader) told me that he didn't like white milk. My very quick answer was simply to say, then do a petition. "A petition?" He asked. "What's that?" I have known about petitions since I was in high school. I used to work getting signatures for petitions (let's not get into it, terrible job). But I didn't find a petition useful until I was in college....

The Warrior Page 8

"He knows that he has learned something with every battle he has fought, but many of those lessons have caused him unnecessary suffering. More than once he has wasted his time fighting for a lie. And he has suffered for people who did not deserve his love." Warrior of The Light Paulo Coelho  Page 8 How true is this? How many times do we find ourselves fighting for people that don't deserve our time and love? We just have to keep moving forward. I think we (for the most part) get better at picking who we want to spend our time with. This begins to happen when we realize how valuable our time actually is. You also understand how important you are and so you don't want to just give your time and love to just anyone.

#Stayhome

I have not posted in this blog since November 2019. The world has really changed since then. I remember thinking in December that 2020 was going to be the year for me and for everyone. Something about 2020 felt right. I can tell you it has been the worst year of my life and it's only April. This pandemic took someone that I love very much. I can't express how I feel, I can't even think about it because I fall apart.  I just wanted to say: Take care of yourself. The virus is not a hoax and it's not a joke. People are dying and this is happening whether we like it or not. If not for you, do it for our elders that are most at risk. Do it for the children that have yet to live their lives fully. Do it for a friend or a neighbor.   Be selfless. #Stayhome
