How can I describe my trip to Miami using just one picture?

 

The ocean was calling to me. As someone born in a hospital with an ocean view, I can tell you this is a trip my soul needed to make. The ocean is a huge part of my life and when I spend more than a year away from it, I miss it, I dream about it, and I feel it in my heart.

This was a trip about healing and about quieting the voices of others so that I could hear my own. This trip was a pause to my life that I needed after graduating, a year of Covid, and the death of my dad. This trip is the beginning of a healing process that my heart needs.
