Rant: Divergent Series: Ascendant TV Show? TV Movie?

And so, if you don't know already...the director of the movie The Divergent Series: Ascendant decided that they want to turn this movie into a TV show. They also decided this movie will not play in theaters and as we already know the actors are dropping out of this project like flies. Why am I not surprised? They are upset that the third movie didn't do well but they should've known already. The book has really bad ratings since the author decided to kill the main character. I knew people were going to be disappointed once they caught up with their reading. Even though I had previously announced that I wasn't going to see it, Theo James' eyes were just too beautiful to not see them on a big screen. I wasn't disappointed because Theo James had a lot of screen time and they had perfect shots of his face and his body in the shower. BUT ANYWAYS, everyone left the theater in shock because a lot of the things in the book were changed in the movie and Tris didn't die in the end.

Great, Tris didn't die...so why didn't do movie do well? First of all, they didn't follow the book and a lot of people were disappointed. Personally, I think that was great since I hate the third book of the series. But also, they didn't have enough material for another movie. Why didn't they just have the battle in the third book and just end it? There is nothing else. We already know what's on the other side of the wall. By the way, was I the only one disappointed? It felt like the world was completely nothing. There was absolutely no hope for them. If you really think about it, they end up going back home, what does that tell you about their life? About their world? They are stuck! There is nothing else. It's super depressing not to mention the fact that so many people died for nothing. If they would've found a better life outside that wall then maybe the fight was worth it. But fighting so hard to end up where you started? Wow, these books were worse than I thought.

Yes, they know what's out there but who cares? There is no future.

Eh, anyways, I disapprove of the TV show and the TV movie and I think they should just end it the way it is. They will always have David around trying to take over but Tris and Four will be around to save the day. Better ending than the book if you ask me. At least in the movie ending, they have something to live for...each other.

I Let Go

When I commit to something, I like to see it through.  I work hard to see it through.   I ignore the signs and I keep pushing even when there's nothing worth fighting for. This year though, I am learning to let go of everything; I mean people, I mean situations, feelings, and anything that doesn't serve me. And I grieve all of this but in a healthy way.  I allow time to be my friend. I give myself words of encouragement. I give my body, food, vitamins, and exercise. I give my brain meditation and therapy. I read. I cry, I talk to my sister, and my friends. I Let Go. It's the best thing I could've done for myself. At the end of the day, is it really worth forcing something that's not meant to be for you?

A Lost Story #NationalNovelWritingMonth2024

I watched a love story, a telenovela, many years ago.  I was maybe between the ages of 5-7 when they played it on TV. Something about that telenovela has lived forever in my mind. I thought that maybe with technology advancing we could see the story again. After years of waiting, I found the director (I love the power of the internet) and he gave me the terrible news that...unfortunately, the story was lost forever.  I may not be able to watch it again, but I would like to write it down in my own words. This is my project for the rest of 2024 and part of NANO WRIMO 2024. What are you writing about for the month of November?
